We understand the challenges that birds can pose to your property. From unwanted nesting to damage caused by droppings, birds can create significant issues for both residential and commercial properties. Our Pin & Bird Wire service provides an effective, humane solution to prevent birds from nesting. Using discreet and long-lasting materials, we help ensure your home remains free from the disruption and damage caused by birds, offering long term protection.

A pin and bird wire system involves a spring wire proofing consisting of slim marine grade (BS316) stainless steel pins, drilled into the surface material and fitted with a water excluding plug.  0.45mm marine grade, braided stainless steel wire is suspended between each pin; this wire is held under light tension with a stainless steel spring. The system does not harm the birds but does prevent them from landing. It requires no on-going maintenance after installation.

We provide seagull wire for coastal areas, alongside pigeon wire to tackle pests in urban areas.

How Does Pin & Wire Work?

Pin & Bird Wire systems, including pigeon, and seagull wire, offer a discreet and effective solution for keeping birds from roosting or nesting on your property. Stainless steel bird wires are mounted on pins along ledges, windowsills, and roofs, creating an unstable surface that prevents birds from perching. This durable, long-lasting system ensures a bird-free environment without harming the animals, making it ideal for controlling pigeon and seagull populations.

FAQs

What is the difference between pigeon wire and seagull wire?

Pigeon wire and seagull wire are both designed to prevent birds from nesting on property, but the main difference is in their specific usage. Pigeon wire is ideal for medium to light pigeon populations, while seagull wire is more suited to larger bird species. Both systems use wires mounted on bird posts to create an unstable surface that ensures birds cannot land.

How long does the installation of bird wire take?

The installation of bird wire (including pigeon wire and seagull wire) typically takes a few hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. Our professional team will assess your property and provide a tailored solution, ensuring the bird posts and wire are placed effectively to prevent roosting and nesting. We adapt our systems based on each specific problem.

Where can bird wire be installed?

Bird wire can be installed on various surfaces where pigeons and seagulls typically roost, including window sills, ledges, gutters, pipes, and roof ridges. Whether it’s pigeon wire or seagull wire, our service ensures these areas are protected with high-quality materials and strategically placed bird posts for maximum effectiveness.
